Earlier this week Leah invited me to a "formal" dinner that her dad was given tickets to from his work. He didn't know what it was for exactly, but on their own the tickets were $75! Anyhow after looking up the Ciociaro Club of Windsor, where the dinner was to take place, formal dress wear was highly indicated lol. After worrying that my summer dresses were no where near formal enough, Leah and I still decided it didn't really matter..... and it didn't. Mr. Nicoletti had not noticed that the ticket clearly said, "Ancient Rome costumes highly encouraged". The dinner turned out to be a fundraiser for some sorta Canadian Italian Group, I can't remember exactly what it was but in any case they had a Roman themed dinner. Basically everyone was wearing a toga, and the committee from the group were dressed up in all Roman soldier attire. Max Nelson from the university was there as well all dressed up, and gave a little history speech about some of the different costumes. They even had a Roman parade where all the Roman Soldiers marched in and brought in "Caeser" on a throne.
I was SO HAPPY. It was fantastic. The food was great and everything was just wonderful. Leah's grandmother and aunt and uncle were also there along with abbey and ai-leng, it was super fun. They had dancing after and we (abbey, myself and her aunt) attempted to dance haha. It was so funnnn.
