Waffle-making

My parents gave me a, 3 in 1 Combination sandwich maker. There are interchangeable plates that change the maker into a sandwich or waffle maker and a grill.  Yesterday, I used it for the first time... the sandwich plates were already on the maker, so I exchanged the bottom plate for a waffle plate....not realizing that the second waffle plate was for the top part of the sandwich maker.... this was the result.
